Kells Bay

Approximately an hours cycle away on the Ring of Kerry Route is the idyllic Kells Bay – a small fishing village with a sheltered Blue Flag beach with lots of rock pools with a Harbour and small Pier. On this route to Kells Bay the most fantastic views can be seen on your cycle from β€œMountain Stage” and on a fine day you can see over Dingle Bay and the Blasket Islands in the distance.

A visit to Kells would not be complete without a trip to Kells Bay Gardens, a Victorian country estate, home to a wide collection of sub-tropical plants. Children will love exploring the Skywalk rope bridge and the giant ferns of the Primeval Forest here. There is also a walled garden, a cliff-top walk and a Thai restaurant.

Take a right when leaving The Glenbeigh Hotel leaving Glenbeigh Village towards Caherciveen – being careful as you cycle as this main Ring of Kerry route can be busy during the summer months. Continue on this route stopping as you go to take in some breathtaking views as well as some picnic rest areas! Why not get a packed lunch from The Glenbeigh Hotel or our local Centra on the way! Turn off for Kells Bay which is signposted and look forward to a magical day.
